Forbes has this week released its third annual 50 Over 50 list for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, celebrating successful women over the age of 50 across the regions, who it says are ‘demonstrating there is no age limit to success’. The participants come from across the sectors, including art, fashion, politics, science and more.
Included within the list is Icelandic artist, Bjork Guðmundsdóttir, who released her first solo album ‘Debut’ in 1993. Since turning 50, Bjork has released three albums, each of which have been nominated for a Best Alternative Music Album Grammy. In 2023 her tenth album ‘Fossora’ was awarded two Icelandic Music Awards and one Signal Award, with the singer receiving an honorary doctorate from the Iceland University of the Arts.

Additionally, Forbes has announced the launch of its 30/50 Summit, which will take place March 5th – 8th 2024, in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The event will bring together the brand’s Under 30 and Over 50 communities, with current confirmed speakers including actress Meg Ryan.
