On January 24th, leading figures from the world of German and international politics and business will come together for the WELT Economic Forum (WWG) – being held at the Axel Springer building in Berlin – to discuss current political and economic issues.
It will be the 14th incarnation of the forum, which has previously welcomed speakers such as Reed Hastings – Netflix Founder & CEO, European Central Bank President -Christine Lagarde, Henry Kissinger – former US Secretary of State, and seen then German Chancellor, Angela Merkel, attend most years since 2009.
At this year’s Forum under the banner ‘Inflection point – pathways to a new world, Axel Springer has invited German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala. Snap Inc. founder and CEO Evan Spiegel, Marvel Fusion CEO Moritz von der Linden, amongst others.
The theme of the 2023 WELT Economic Forum will encompass issues ranging from the latest challenges for European security architecture, geostrategic prospects regarding energy and raw materials, global food stability, risk assessments for investment and sales markets as well as the framework for prospective EU enlargements.
