Disney+ has this week confirmed a number of upcoming titles set to premiere exclusively on the service in the UK & Ireland next year. The platform will see the introduction of new seasons of Welcome to Wrexham, Futurama, and The Bear, as well as a number of new original offerings including Marvel Studios’ Echo series and Lucasfilm’s Star Wars: The Acolyte’.
UK originals
From BAFTA-nominated director Ben Taylor and award-winning writer and executive producer Sally Wainwright, Renegade Nell will star Derry Girls’ Louisa Harland and debut in the Spring. Early 2024 will also see the second season of the award-winning comedy Extraordinary, alongside Camden – a documentary series featuring some of the world’s biggest music acts, including series executive producer Dua Lipa.

FX’s Shōgun will join the platform early in the year, along with Ryan Murphy series, FEUD: Capote Vs. The Swans, and Black Cake – a brand new mystery series. Booklovers can also anticipate two exciting adaptations in the form of Georgia Hunter’s New York Times bestselling novel, “We Were the Lucky Ones” and the National Book Award-winning Interior Chinatown’. Upcoming animated Disney+ original series from Marvel Studios, “X-Men ’97” also arrives on the platform in 2024, as well as Star Wars: The Acolyte and Star Wars: Skeleton Crew”.
